Nocco Review

Nocco Review

In this Nocco review, we’re going to take a deep dive into the Swedish No Carbs Company (NOCCO) and lay everything you need to know about this energy drink on the table, so that you can decide whether or not it’s a drink for you!

In this Nocco review, we will look into their ingredients, the brand and their work, as well as telling you where you can get it. Let’s begin!

Frequent questions – Nocco Review

First, let’s answer some frequently asked questions about the brand that some people might want to know about first. To start:

  1. Is Nocco sugar-free?

Yes, all of their drinks and flavors come without sugar!

  1. Does Nocco contain zero calories?

One can of Nocco contains around 15 calories, which mostly comes from their protein contents, which is BCAA.

  1. Is Nocco keto friendly?

Yes, as long as you don’t drink too many per day!

  1. Is Nocco bad for you?

Not really, no! The only thing to note is it´s high caffeine amount, which is why we recommend you only drink 2 cans per day. Other than that, it’s much healthier than your standard cup of coffee due to its amino acids and vitamins, which you get in hefty doses! This is why NOCCO is considered a great energy drink to bring to the gym, or other physical activities. It’s all about optimizing your caffeine intake for the best effect!

The Brand

Nocco has grown to become an incredibly popular energy drink. It started off in Sweden, where it quickly became a powerhouse of a brand, reaching, and even overtaking the majority of the market in the country from mega popular brands like Redbull or Monster. In 2019, Nocco even reached the US, and you can now get it all across the nation. This move made the brand stand out from the crowd within the US market, where most of the giants reside.

Now, you might be wondering; what makes this brand so popular? What’s so special about it? Nocco has always branded itself as a healthier, more workout niched energy drink, which is why it contains BCAA (branched chain amino acids). BCAA contains essential amino acids that can’t be produced by the body and therefore need to be supplied by the diet. BCAA helps build muscle, which is why Nocco had its first big break within the Swedish gym market, and why you’ll almost always find some at a gym, wherever the brand has reached.

Ingredients – Nocco Review

Time for the most exciting part of this Nocco review: the ingredients! Let’s divide the ingredients into Focus & Energy and General Health, so that we can more easily showcase and break down their individual value. We are going to include 3 out of their 4 different products; their original Nocco BCAA drink, the Nocco BCAA+ (without caffeine), and their smaller, more gamer niched drinks called Nocco Focus. Not included are their PWO products, which is more of a gym supplement.

Focus & Energy

The original Nocco BCAA drink contains, per can, 180 mg of caffeine! That’s about two cups of coffee. It is a whole lot more than most other energy drinks have, which of course is one of many reasons why the brand got so popular. People want a lot of bang for their buck, so why not just pick the drink that has the most “bang”? Other than caffeine, you’ll also find that some of the energy comes from green tea, as well.

Now, let’s talk about their Nocco Focus products. You can only get these drinks from certain countries in Europe (from what we know) as of now, which makes them a bit more unheard of, for some. Nocco Focus was the No Carbs Company’s first venture into the gaming and eSports world – an energy drink with the same amount of caffeine and vitamins, but without any amino acids. Not much differs from the Focus products from the regular ones, other than that.

The BCAA+ is completely caffeine-free, but contains a higher serving of BCAAs per can.

General Health

Besides it’s high caffeine amount, you also get a canned energy drink which contains 6 different vitamins and 3000 mg of BCAA! Here are the vitamins and their RDI values:

  • Vitamin D (100% RDI)
  • Vitamin B6 (100% RDI)
  • Biotin (100% RDI)
  • Vitamin D12 (100% RDI)
  • Folic Acid (50% RDI)
  • Niacin (80% RDI)

Vitamins are essential for a human body’s well being, and should be consumed daily. A single can of Nocco helps you out with that by giving you (almost) the recommended daily intake of 6 different vitamins. Also, let’s not forget about the BCAA!

BCAA contains 3 essential amino acids; Leucine, Valine and Isoleucine. Amino acids help to make up protein, which in turn help maintain muscle mass, which makes them especially important to those who workout a lot. The original Nocco BCAA contains a total of 3000 mg of BCAA, in the ratio 4: 1: 1. That means that it contains 2000 mg of Leucine, 500 mg of Isoleucine and finally 500 mg of valine.

The BCAA+ products make up for their lack in caffeine by having an increased amount of BCAA, with a total amount of 5000 mg in the ratio of 4: 1: 1 as well. This translates into 3333 mg of Leucine, 833 mg of Isoleucine and 833 mg of Valine.

Can you get Nocco in your country?

Nocco increases their markets rapidly, so it wouldn’t surprise us if they soon became world wide. However, even though they haven’t gone completely global, you can definitely find them in select stores in some of the bigger cities and countries in the world. Just write “Nocco” and then your country in the google search bar, to quickly find out if you can get Nocco either delivered to, or in your country.

And who knows? Maybe you can get Nocco from Gamerbulk in the future? 😉
